Originally a lawyer, Isaura Romeo worked for some years in this field in Madrid before moving to London where she developed her interest in garden design and landscaping, gaining a post-graduate diploma in Environmental studies at the Open University.

Back in Spain, she gained a diploma in Garden Design and Project management at Spain´s leading School of Garden Design Castillo de Batres in Madrid. She established Isaura Romeo Garden Design in 2004.

We tailor every design to our clients ´needs, and carefully integrate their house into the garden, and the garden into its surroundings, with plants and materials appropriate to the climate, and location of the site. The result is a garden with low environmental impact which is easier to maintain.

We work collaboratively with our clients, listening to their needs, to ensure that the garden design brief is clear and is interpreted correctly in the plan. In particular, when developing the garden design plan, we aim to reflect as closely as possible the styling, decoration and colour palette of the interior of the client’s home so that there is a strong visual relationship between the inside and outside spaces.

It can be difficult to visualise how your garden could look and to work out where to put features and plants for best effect. Our role is to help you do just that. We will listen to your dreams and ideas, absorb and interpret them and turn them into reality. This could be a full-blown design project including a presentation plan, construction drawings and planting plan or it could be a simple revamp and re-plant.
