Hospedería La Chumbera Azul is located at the top of a steep hill overlooking the Atlantic ocean, in Andalucía, in an area very well known and sought after for the natural beauty of its beaches and villages. The environment is rural: gentle hills covered in vegetation, grazing land, and a nature preserve. Chumbera Azul is the first Spanish hotel built with natural materials and certificated for bioclimatic criteria and energy saving systems.

In a joint effort with the arquitect and having in account the wishes of the owners, the Studio has designed a wildlife garden that blended seamlessly into its surroundings. The garden has plenty of native Mediterranean plants such as olive trees, palmito trees, prickly pears, and Lentiscos .
